Sustainable design starts with a strong idea.

We create commercial flooring solutions where design and reuse come together. By giving high-quality carpet tiles a second life, we create new patterns and new possibilities for interior architecture.
Through smart material reuse, we develop flooring that is not only durable in everyday use, but also contributes to a more thoughtful way of working with materials.
For architects, interior designers, and project developers who look at materials differently.

The power of circular floor design

Circular floor design in action

A floor is often the largest surface in a space. Yet in many projects, it is still treated as a standard product. In reality, the floor has a major influence on how an interior is experienced.

We believe a floor has an active role in a design. Patterns can guide movement, define zones, and visually connect a space. A well-designed floor can bring calm, rhythm, or a sense of energy to an interior.

At the same time, we believe that design and reuse can go hand in hand. That is why we develop circular commercial flooring based on high-quality reclaimed carpet tiles.

By reusing existing materials, we create an interesting starting point for our designs. This results in floors with character, made up of patterns that do not originate from a standard catalog. In this way, circularity is not a limitation, but a way to create new designs.

By working with existing carpet tiles, the lifespan of materials is extended while reducing the need for new raw materials. This lowers the environmental impact of a project, without compromising the design quality of the floor.

No compromise on high-quality flooring

ReCarp floor

Circular design is sometimes associated with compromise: in quality, appearance, or performance. For commercial flooring, compromise is not an option.

A floor in an office, hotel, or public space must be able to withstand years of intensive use. It needs to be durable, easy to maintain, and suitable for heavy foot traffic.

That is why we work only with high-quality carpet tiles that are technically suitable for reuse.

Every material is carefully selected and every tile is inspected before it becomes part of a new floor design. The tiles are then recomposed into a layout that is both technically reliable and visually refined.

This ensures that our floors are not only circular, but also meet the standards required for professional commercial interiors.

The result is a floor that:

performs under intensive use;
has a long lifespan;
retains a high-quality appearance;
contributes to a smarter use of materials.
The result is a floor designed for the future, in every sense.

Unique flooring collections

Designed by Studio Simone Post

For our flooring collections, we collaborate with Studio Simone Post. In these designs, developed especially for us, existing materials form the starting point. By carefully studying the colour, texture, and structure of the carpet tiles, we are able to reuse them in a meaningful way. Materials that have already served one purpose are given a new role within the interior.

The designs by Simone Post can stand on their own, but can also be combined with one another. This creates flooring solutions that reflect the scale, atmosphere, and layout of the space.

A floor can do more than simply complete an interior. Patterns can help visually define work zones, walking routes, or meeting areas, without the need for physical partitions. In this way, the floor is not only circular in its material use, but also plays a clear role in the spatial design.

ReCarp collaborates with architect Josse Popma of PTSA Architects, known for projects such as Biopartner 5 and Kantoor Vol Afval. For the designs, we work with designer Simone Post of Studio Simone Post, known for her colourful, material-driven work for clients including Vlisco, Kvadrat, Adidas and Hermès.

Frequently asked questions about our process

Absolutely not. We only select the highest-quality tiles that are still technically suitable for intensive commercial use. Every tile undergoes a thorough quality check before being approved for reuse.

Absolutely. In our online configurator you can play with colours, textures and the specific patterns of ReCarp. This lets you create a unique combination that fits the dimensions and atmosphere of your project exactly. If you have a pattern of your own in mind, get in touch with us.

The production of new carpet tiles is energy-intensive. By giving high-quality tiles a second life, the environmental impact is significantly reduced.

Start your design process

A circular flooring solution usually begins with a question. There is a project, a space, or an interior concept in which the floor needs to do more than simply function.

Together, we look at the desired atmosphere, the way the space will be used, and the materials that best support the design. Based on a mood board or interior plan, we select a pattern and combine colours into a floor design that fits the project.

We then develop the design further, prepare the delivery and make sure the flooring is installed correctly. In short, this is how the process works:

1

Assessing the requirements

Everything starts with the project, the space and the desired circular flooring solution.
2

Selecting the pattern and colours

Based on a visual direction, moodboard or interior concept, we create a suitable pattern and colour palette.
3

Developing the floor design

The design is translated into the space, taking dimensions, layout and application into account.
4

Preparing your order

Once approved, we create the installation plan, process the order and coordinate the schedule.
5

Delivery of the flooring

Finally, we deliver the carpet tiles so the flooring installer can start the installation.
